Celebrate while you help protect the planet!

At Jumping Jacks Events we are committed to doing what we can to help prevent climate change. We love nothing more than a good celebration but we are also mindful that we have a duty of care for our planet. We are constantly looking for ways as a business we can be better and help our customers choose more eco-friendly ways to party.

The balloons we use are 100% natural rubber latex and bio-degradable and the glitters we use for our unisex tattoo and glitter bar are also bio-degradable. We have replaced most of our party prizes to be more eco-friendly and we also give out certificates rather than plastic prizes as an alternative.

With a few careful choices you can have an awesome party that is kinder to our planet.

Our Promise

  • We are committed to growing our selection of eco-friendly and reusable party supplies.
  • We can advise our customers on how our balloons can be disposed of, reused or recycled.
  • We are continually searching for suppliers that can provide eco-friendly alternatives.
  • When possible we purchase in large quantities to reduce our carbon footprint.
  • We minimise our packaging as much as possible. You may sometimes find bags protecting your balloon order which we reuse or recycle from our deliveries or other orders rather than send to landfill.

We all love balloons and a bit of decor at a party, what else give such a cheery burst of colour to a celebration. But to protect our environment it is essential that we know how to dispose of our balloons correctly. There is much conflicting advice on how best to dispose of balloons and their impact on the environment.

Jumping Jacks Events is a proud member of the Pro Environment Balloon Alliance. PEBA’s  members do not support or condone, nor will they facilitate the deliberate release of balloons. Members of PEBA are committed to educating their clients, venue managers and the general public, by all possible means, in the responsible use and disposal of balloons. PIN IT & BIN IT! We do not provide Helium balloons ourselves due to our strong commitment to banning helium balloon releases in the UK and beyond but if you do choose to use or buy helium, it is extremely important that the balloons are not released and the helium is not inhaled.

The best way to dispose of your balloons depends on what they are made of:

Latex balloons are NOT plastic

Latex balloons are a plant-based product made from natural rubber which does breakdown. It is thought a latex balloon will decompose at roughly the same rate as an oak leaf, from roughly 6 months to 3 years maximum depending on the conditions.

The best way to dispose of your balloon, is with your regular household waste where it will end up in landfill and decompose naturally. Balloons should be cut up into small pieces.

If you release your balloons into the air, they will still decompose, but where they land could cause harm to wildlife and marine life. So please remember to hold on to your balloons and “Pin it and bin it”

Jumping Jacks Events DOES NOT support balloon releases and urges all our customers “Don’t let go!”

Leading manufacturers source their latex from sustainable Rainforest Alliance Certified and Forest Stewardship Council Plantations. This contributes to building healthy forests, thriving communities and fights climate change.
